Sukho Thai Massage
Thai Yoga Therapy, Thai Oil Massage, and Thai Reflexology

Why would you choose Sukho Thai Massage?

1.  Quality massage: All therapists have 5-8 years of massage practice.  Our massage therapists have double trainings in massage schools in Thailand and in the US.  We all grew up with Thai massage in our culture. You will find that all therapists provide Thai massage naturally and authentically.

2.  Holistic and healing approach:  We work per client health condition and follow Thai meridians thoughtout the body work.  It is a more customized massage; we feel your body, try to find spots/problem areas and use the tools we have to help you feel better and relieved.  It is believed that “Lom” means air/energy that flows thoughout the body, so when you are not feeling well, it means energy is stuck in some areas and there are some curtain techniques and spots on body to release the energy out and make you feel better.

3.  Full 60 min massage per hour: we always give you full 60 min session -sometimes we go a little longer if we need to, to make you feel complete.  We provide service with loving care about clients, you will feel a personal touch and connection with therapists.  Once you come for your appointment, we require you come 10-15 min  prior your appointment.  We spend 5-10 discussing your concerns and what you want to accomplish during your massage session.  This discussion does not take away from the 60 min hands on.

4.  Help with flexibility and pain relief: The calming benefits of Thai massage are many, including relief from multiple ailments ranging from asthma and migraines to sprains, and anxiety. Further benefits include the relief of physical and emotional tension, ameliorated sleep, improved flexibility, a greater awareness of body and mind, and a release of blocked energy.

5.  Complementary: We offer free hot towels during massage and Thai herbal tea which is made fresh daily. We serve either lemon grass, pandan leaf, bael fruit, ginger, or Kaffir lime leaf teas.

6.  Chutikan, the owner, hand carried and imported some pieces of decoration from Thailand.  She wants to bring Thailand here. Once you come inside you will feel like you are in Thailand and feel the warm and welcoming atmosphere.

1.  What is Thai massage really? Thai massage is usually done on a padded mat on the floor. No oil is traditionally applied. However, we offer clients Thai massage with oil as well.  Thai massage involves stretching as well as massage.  Therapists use hands, elbows, knees, feet to move you into a series of yoga-like stretches.  Thai massage is more energizing -  yet relaxing -  than more classic forms of massage. It is like doing yoga without any work.  A typical Thai massage is 60 minutes to two hours long.

2.  What should I wear when I get Thai massage? Wear loose or stretchy clothing during the massage.  If you don't have anything to change into, we can provide appropriate covering for you to wear during massage.

3.  Do you take insurance? No.

4.  Do you walk on clients for traditional Thai massage? Only with your permission and not on all clients. Therapists are trained how to walk on clients for maximum benefit

5.  Where are you located exactly? 5122 Burr Oak Circle in Raleigh. Burr Oak runs behind Oak Park Plaza on Glenwood.  Go past Oak Park Plaza and the Peddler Steak House on Holly Ridge Rd.  Turn right onto Burr Oak. Go to the end of the circle and veer right.  Look for our sign my the door.
